This position involves continuous monitoring of servers, detection of technical problems, as well as hardware and software maintenance. The role is critical to maintaining the stability of networks and critical services that depend on servers.

A Server Support Technician’s primary responsibilities include configuring servers, installing and updating operating systems, and monitoring performance to prevent downtime. It investigates server incidents, applies remedial solutions and performs regular backups to ensure data integrity. Additionally, the Server Support Technician must have in-depth knowledge of various server technologies, including Windows Server, Linux, and other platforms used in enterprise environments. Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and storage solutions (SAN, NAS) is also crucial to promptly resolve issues and optimize infrastructure performance.
