Top paying IT technologies

In 2024, more than 65,000 developers responded to the annual Stack Overflow survey about how they learn and improve, the tools they use and the tools they want.

From this major survey, we’ve extracted the most highly rated technologies (programming languages).

It is visible with the naked eye that all technologies show an average decrease of -12%, which aligns with the negative IT trends and massive layoffs in late 2023, early 2024.

It is worth mentioning that 35,000 fewer developers participated in the survey this year than in 2023.
